Our Commitment

Project Youth Wellness is a program of Daughters of Deborah (DoD), a 501(c)(3) faith-based organization. Daughters of Deborah is strives to bring value to society through the development of its most precious asset, people. Whether developing employability programming for youth or assisting women in need, Daughters of Deborah seeks daily to be an accountable organization and community partner. To do so, DoD is committed to, and expects any partner or other party doing business with Daughters of Deborah will adopt, maintain to the best of their ability, and to adhere to the following values:​

Be Respectful

We are committed to create safe healthy spaces where students can be inspired to become and realized their future readiness. At the foundation of our relationships with our personnel, students, partners, and vendors is the philosophy and practice of respect each individual. We are committed to ensure that each individual engaged with our programs and services are treated with respect and dignity. We treat all individuals with dignity regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender identity or expression, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, pregnancy, disability, military status, genetic information, marital status or any other status protected by law.

Be Protective

We are committed to ensuring that our team members and partners  are treated with dignity and respect and provided responsible working environments. Within these safe spaces, we commit to adhere to all labor laws, including child labor policies, and shall not engage in or tolerate any form of human trafficking, forced, bonded (including debt bondage) or indentured labor, slavery or trafficking of persons.  Lastly, we does not tolerate discrimination in any form based on characteristics such as race, color, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity or national origin, disability, pregnancy, religion, military veteran status, educational background, economic status, or any other status protected by law.

Be Trustworthy

We are committed to fostering relationships within our organization and with partners and participants that are rooted in integrity and God’s love. We are committed to conducting business in an open, honest and ethical manner, and adhering to our code of ethics and all laws in the places where we do business. We have zero tolerance for all forms of bribery, corruption, extortion or embezzlement. Charitable giving associated with our organization is never used as a vehicle to conceal payments made to corruptly influence political officials. All business dealings are transparently performed and accurately reflected on our financial reports and filings. We disclose financial and non-financial information in accordance with applicable regulations and prevailing nonprofit practices.

Be Fair

We strive to adhere to our core faith-based beliefs and ensure that fairness is present and evident in all of our business and personnel affairs. We thus maintain standards of fair business and conduct business in accordance with all applicable anti-trust or anti-competition laws and regulations. In the area of diversity, we seek to strengthen our team composition and services by ensuring that all individuals are provided with equal opportunities regardless of their personal attributes and encouraging them to respect each other’s differences and skills while exercising their own abilities. Daughters of Deborah seeks to serve as a positive influence to promote diversity, equity and inclusion throughout all aspects of our operations and our partnership base. We are committed to support initiatives that help foster and maintain diverse experiences, heritages, and beliefs in our work environment and society.

Be Good Stewards

Being a good steward is a critical principle to our organization regardless of the type of activity or resource that we serve as stewards over. This includes but is not limited to the management of data and how our business impacts the environment. We take appropriate measures to respect each team member, participant, and partner’s rights to privacy, and commit to protecting personal data against loss and unauthorized access or use and complying with relevant privacy and information security laws and regulations. Also, as a responsible member of a society, we will make every effort to act responsibly and contribute to human health and wellness and the preservation of the global environment. To achieve this goal, we will make efforts to recycle and conserve resources. We will consider the effect that our organization’s activities have on the public and the local environment. We shall comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in all jurisdictions in which we operate.

Be Involved

Beyond creating opportunities for students to develop future readiness skills, we recognize that it is equally important to be productive and act responsibly in the communities that we serve. Through our community initiatives, charitable donations and volunteerism, Daughters of Deborah seeks to create value for society and bring inspiration and joy to lives of those whom we serve. We seek to support initiatives aimed at advancing education and creating experiences for young people from underserved communities to achieve their dreams. We are proud to connect with  partners, and look to established additional partnerships, that share our value of community involvement and make it possible to improve youth wellness, access to resources, and future readiness.
